Dagda, “the Good God”, “the Father of All”. God of goodness and wisdom, he is one of the most prominent figures in the early myths of Ireland and was one of the chiefs of the Tuatha Dé Danann. He is considered a god of the earth who dominated agriculture and fertility. He was also a master of magic and war.
Having the ability to predict the weather, control the time, seasons and crops, he has been seen as a solar god of fertility, abundance and protector of crops.
Dagda was a powerful figure whose magic bridged life and death, so he was also a god of death, order and natural law.
Known for his wisdom and strength, he became one of the legendary kings of Ireland and was the father of many of the gods.
